EVENT DIARY

Please note that concerts below are cancelled and listed for archival purposes only due to the ongoing public health guidance in Scotland. Please contact us with any questions regarding rescheduling or refunds.
Saturday 2 May 2020, 7.30pm | Of the Sacred Heart (cancelled)
Old Saint Paul's Scottish Episcopal Church, Edinburgh
This concert has, sadly, been cancelled owing to current public health guidance. We hope to reschedule it in the future.

For the French composer, Frank Martin, faith was innately personal. No greater sign of this is seen than his Mass for Double Choir, written in 1922 but not premiered until 1963. Pulsing, flowing melodies contrast with heartfelt directness in this moving and virtuosic sacred work. Contrasted with striking works by Stravinsky, Leighton and Joanna Gill, the concert is the perfect way to close the Reid Consort’s fourth season.

Kenneth Leighton - Laudate Pueri
Kerry Andrew - O nata lux
Igor Stravinsky - Tres sacrae cantiones
Joanna Gill - Unfailing Love
Frank Martin - Mass for Double Choir

This concert includes interval and lasts approximately 2 hours (including interval).
Thursday 20 August 2020, 7.30pm | Edinburgh Sacred Arts Festival (cancelled)
